Defmar extended over the years company’s activities offering to shipowners, charterers, and their respectiveP&I Club/H&M underwriters a wide range of services.

A team of experienced claim handlers is specialized in handling amicable claims and litigations with a very high level of success. Our excellent relationships with local authorities, port officials, terminals and underwriters are key in helping to expedite the handling of cases to reduce exposure and bring about the timely and equitable settlement of claims.

Incidentally, Defmar’s is the soleP&I club correspondent in Morocco whose LOU (Letter of undertaking) are accepted by all underwriters, Terminals and Port Authorities. Defmar provides also surveying services by means of a rapid procedure ensuring close cooperation with our principals.

Our team calls upon the services of experienced nautical and cargo surveyors for monitoring surveys, precautionary surveys, cargo surveys and P&I /H&M surveys.Defmar also provides a close assistance in relation with repatriation of stowaways and crew assistance.

Over the last 50 years, Defmar handled over 30.000 cases.
